What Is Peer Recovery Support?

Peer Recovery Support is non-clinical, person-centered assistance that helps individuals move toward and maintain long-term recovery. Through shared experience, peer specialists offer:

Emotional support – Empathy, encouragement, and motivation
Practical help – Navigating services like housing, employment, treatment, and benefits
Connection – Reducing isolation through recovery-based community
Accountability – Helping you stay focused on your recovery goals
Hope – Demonstrating that recovery is not only possible, but sustainable

How it works

Once you’re referred, or reach out to us, a Peer Recovery Specialist will contact you for an initial conversation. Together, you’ll identify your goals and challenges, and create a recovery support plan tailored to your needs. You’ll connect regularly through in-person meetings, phone calls, or virtual check-ins, whatever works best for you.

Our peer support services are flexible and informal, with no time limit or required commitment. You set the pace, and your peer will be there for encouragement, resources, and real-world guidance as you move forward in recovery.
